Answers to the most common questions about Shift Schedule

Go to Settings → Schedule. Set the cycle start date (the date your first working day begins), the number of work days, and the number of rest days. The app automatically calculates the rest.

Yes. Tap any day in the calendar and choose a status: Work, Rest, Extra, Vacation, Sick. Manual overrides take priority over the schedule formula.

Tap a day in the calendar. In the menu that appears, choose Note and type your text. Notes appear below the date and sync with your schedule.

Press and hold any day in the calendar (~0.5 sec) to enter range selection mode. Then tap a second day to set the end of the range. In the window that appears, choose a status — it will be applied to all days in the range at once.

The second schedule is a separate work schedule layered on top of your main one. Useful if you sometimes work a second job on its own shift cycle.

How to enable: tap any rest day → Second schedule → configure. Set the cycle start date and the number of work/rest days. On days when the second schedule is active, a briefcase icon appears in the calendar cell.

Note: the second schedule supplements the main one, it doesn't replace it. If both are active on the same day, the main status is shown in the cell while the briefcase icon signals the second job. Your partner will see that you're working — the shared day off won't be counted for that day.

This is usually caused by battery settings on your phone — especially on Xiaomi, Samsung and Huawei. Three steps:

1. Autostart (Xiaomi/MIUI): Settings → Apps → ShiftSchedule → Autostart → enable. Without this the alarm won't wake up if the app was closed.

2. Battery: Settings → Battery → Apps → ShiftSchedule → select No restrictions.

3. Android 12+: the system may require exact alarm permission — go to Settings → Apps → ShiftSchedule → Alarms & reminders → allow.

If you've done all this and alarms still don't fire — email us at mirorstar@yandex.ru with your phone model and Android version.

This is standard Android behavior: all scheduled alarms are deleted by the system on reboot. Shift Schedule can restore them — but it needs to be opened after the phone boots.

So you don't forget: after a reboot, a quiet reminder notification from the app will appear in your notification shade. Tap it — Shift Schedule will open and automatically reschedule alarms for upcoming days.

On Xiaomi/MIUI devices: enable Autostart for Shift Schedule in phone settings (Settings → Apps → ShiftSchedule → Autostart). This allows the app to restore alarms right after reboot without any action from you.

The bell icon only appears next to work shifts in the day list — not next to days off. Make sure your anchor date is set correctly and upcoming days have Work status. If the status is correct but there's no icon — try tapping Set alarms again.

PRO is a one-time purchase (not a subscription). Includes: multi-device sync, partner schedule, notifications, calendar export, weather widget, all themes. Price is shown in RuStore.

In the app tap Buy PRO — the RuStore payment screen will open. Payment goes through RuStore using your linked card or other payment method.

Go to Settings → PRO → Restore purchase. Make sure you're signed into the same RuStore account used for the purchase. Restoration is free but requires an internet connection.

Yes. After first install you get 14 days of PRO free. All features work in full. After the trial, basic features (calendar, manual overrides) remain available without limits.

PRO is required. Create an account in Settings → Sync, then sign in on both devices with the same credentials. The schedule syncs automatically every 3 minutes after changes.

PRO required. Ask your colleague to share their 6-character code from Settings → Sync → Partner code. Enter it on your device in the same section — their schedule will appear on your calendar in a different color.

Two conditions for weather to work:

1. Location permission. Phone Settings → Apps → Shift Schedule → Permissions → Location → allow. Without this the app doesn't know which city to load the forecast for.

2. Internet access. The forecast is loaded from the network — without internet the weather won't appear. If your connection was off, try refreshing or restarting the app when connected.

If both conditions are met — include your app version and write to us.

Without an account your schedule is stored only on your phone. If your phone breaks, gets lost, or you reinstall the app — all data will be lost with no way to recover it.

An account (free with PRO) gives you:

  • Cloud backup of your schedule
  • Restore when switching phones
  • Sync between devices

To create an account: Settings → Sync → Create account.

Income tab

Swipe the bottom tab bar upward — the Income tab will open. The Together tab opens the same way. This is a PRO feature.

On the Income tab, tap "Configure calculation". In the settings window:

  • Calculation mode — choose $/hour, $/shift, or $/month (salary)
  • Rate — enter your hourly, per-shift, or monthly amount
  • Night bonus % — percentage added on top of the base rate for each night shift
  • Holiday bonus % — percentage added for shifts on public holidays
  • Tax % — income tax percentage (default 13%)
  • Advance / Salary date — day of month for displaying upcoming payments

After making changes, make sure to tap "Save" at the bottom — changes won't apply without it.

If you have days marked as "Extra" on the calendar, they are automatically included in salary calculation.

By default, extra shifts use the same rate as regular shifts. If your extra shifts are paid differently (e.g., 1.5x) — enable the "Extra shift rate" checkbox in calculation settings and enter your custom amount per shift.

The night bonus applies to night extra shifts as well.

The base rate for day and night shifts is the same. The difference comes from the night bonus: a percentage added on top of the base rate for each night shift.

Example: rate $30/shift, night bonus 20%. Day shift — $30, night shift — $30 + $6 = $36.

To enable: check "Night bonus %" in calculation settings and enter the percentage. The bonus applies to all night shifts — both regular and extra.

In calculation settings, scroll down to "Bonuses and deductions". Tap "+ Add bonus" or "+ Add deduction".

For each entry, you can set a name, amount, and mode — fixed amount ($) or percentage of salary (%). Toggle between $ and % using the button next to the amount field.

Bonuses and deductions are tied to a specific month. When switching to another month, you'll need to add them again.

No. All salary data (rate, bonuses, deductions) is stored only on your device and is never uploaded anywhere. There's a note about this at the bottom of the Income tab.

Yes. The calendar, manual overrides, and notes work fully offline. Internet is only needed for cloud sync, weather forecast, and PRO purchase/restore.

  • Calendar — to export shifts to the system calendar (on request)
  • Notifications — for shift start reminders (on request)
  • Location — only for the weather forecast (on request, can be denied)

Not yet — the app is currently Android-only via RuStore. An iOS version is being considered but there's no timeline yet.
